I highly recommend the Pinawa Library book Angela Merkel: Europe’s Most Influential Leader by Mathew Qvortrup.  It’s the finest read I’ve had in years.  Besides a detailed biography of the life and times of A.M., it delves deep into German Euro- and World politics.  Moreover, you get a total view of politics in general and how it works.  It’s not light reading, but very readable.    Michael
