Did you know that along with our collection of over 20,000 books and over 1,000 DVDs we also have over 60 different magazine subscriptions?  There’s something for every interest – crafts and hobbies, kid’s interest, lifestyle and fitness, home décor, sports, news, science and much more.  New to our collection are SUP (replacing Canoe & Kayak) and Shape.    Drop by our air conditioned reading area this summer and flip through a few!

We have been busy cataloguing new and “new to us” books over the past week, and we’ve covered a number of different genres.  Here is just a sampling of what’s on the NEW shelf this week:

Heirloom knits by Judith McLeod-Odell and Knitting on the edge by Nicky Epstein for the crafters.

Ghostopolis by Doug TenNapel in our Junior Graphic Novels section.

Debbie Macomber and Mary Jane Clark fans will be happy to see that we have added 5 books from each of these popular authors.

New Crime includes The Only Child  by Andrew Pyper, Rubbernecker  by Belinda Bauer, and Sing a Worried Song by William Deverell.

A number of William W. Johnstone westerns have been added along with Science Fiction titles The Medusa Chronicles by Stephen Baxter and Alastair Reynolds, and Take us to your Chief by Drew Hayden Taylor.

You will find interesting new titles in our Non-Fiction collection as well, including Option B by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant, and Stranger  than we can Imagine by John Higgs.

Stop in and browse the shelves for these and many others. It’s time to start thinking about the beach and cottage reading list!
