Where did the summer go? Everything is still warm and green but it’s time to start thinking about what the fall brings.
Trivia buffs mark your calendars! Friday September 29, 2017 is the date for our 7th annual Quiz Night! This popular event is held at the Pinawa Community Centre at 7:30 p.m. sharp! (doors open at 6:30 so come early and settle in). There will be a cash bar (wine, beer, water and pop), 50/50 draw and side games. The quiz is prepared and presented by Quizmasters.
This is a low-stress, high-fun event! Don’t think you are up on current events, 80s sitcoms or whacky sports trivia? No problem! You’re never asked for an answer as an individual; questions are answered on paper by your team, with team scores being updated periodically. Everyone brings something to the table at this event where the questions cover a wide array of, well, everything! And don’t forget to bring along some brain-food. Snacks for your team can be simple or worthy of a master chef – it’s up to you!
Quiz Night is also a fundraiser for the Library. This year we are upgrading the shelving around the perimeter of the adult books stacks.
Don’t miss out because you are still on summer time…pre-registration only from September 5-22, 2017 (or until sold out). Team fee is $100.00 for 8 adults (18+). Come and see us at the library to register your team!
The last summer storytime with is on Wednesday, August 23rd at 2:00. Please join Terra and Rebecca for stories, snacks, and a simple craft.
