Is everyone “falling” back into a routine? We hope this includes some reading time because the return of our fall hours means more new books on the shelves! Checklist: hot chocolate, sweaters, wool socks, books! Come over and browse – we love patron requests, suggestions and reviews!
Connie Hill highly recommends News of the World and writes “the setting may suggest a Western, but this lovely novel by Paulette Jiles is so much more. An old man and a twice orphaned girl journey through a dangerous landscape to deliver the child to relatives and the news to isolated towns. Their developing relationship is at the heart of the story”.
A few new books on the shelf include Irresistible: The Rise of Addictive Technology & the Business of Keeping us Hooked by Adam Alter, Y is for Yesterday by Sue Grafton and Glass Houses by Louise Penny (The latest in the popular Inspector Gamache series!).
We hope to see you at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the library to meet and chat with Pinawa’s own Gerald Kuehl about his amazing book, Portraits of the North. Join us for reading, conversation, and refreshments.
Don’t forget to drop in and register for Quiz Night which will be held on September 29, 2017! And equally as important – start thinking of your top secret team name!
