Happy December!
In keeping with the season, we have added a few timely books to our shelves this week:
Home for the Holidays by Debbie Macomber, Secret Santa by Fern Michaels, Hot Flash Holidays by Nancy Thayer and A Very Merry Christmas by Geronimo Stilton. Fans of the Kratt brothers will be happy to see that we have added A Creature Christmas to our kids DVD collection this week as well.
With all the white outside it seems like a good time to bring a little green into the conversation. On the librarian desk you will find a stack of “Green Planet for kids” booklets – drop by and pick one up. This little publication uses fun cartoons to teach kids about energy consumption and how to save water and electricity. It also discusses the reduce/reuse/recycle trio, composting, making good choices and offers up many other neat tips that help to make a difference.
Speaking of segues…do you have any extra plastic bags? We would love a few at the library for our “books by the bag” sales shelves. Please consider dropping off a few next time you are in.
