Is anyone else excited that it’s March?  What do longer days mean?  More hours to read!

On the librarian desk we have two new pamphlets.  “The elementary safety book for children” highlights what to do in an emergency, fire, boat, water, electrical, street and internet safety (to name a few), and “Drug facts for young people” that touches on peer influences, role models, drugs and alcohol, risks and choices.  Both are free for the taking and set up in a fun, easy to read cartoon layout.

The latest 10 books added to our “NEW” shelves are:

Munich by Robert Harris, The Seeds of Life by Edward Dolnick, Wolf Nation by Brenda Peterson, The Good Assassin by Paul Vidich, Churchill & Orwell by Thomas E. Ricks, Perfect Remains by Helen Fields, Life & Death of the Great Lakes by Dan Egan, The Switch by Joseph Finder, He Said She Said by Erin Kelly and No is Not Enough by Naomi Klein.

For a full list of the most recent 100 books added, check www.pinawapubliclibrary.com, “search our catalogue”.  Or better yet, stop in, have a coffee and take a stroll through the shelves – what better way to spend an almost spring afternoon or evening.

Late breaking news flash!  Afternoon story time will return to the Pinawa Public Library starting Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 2:15 p.m.  Join us for stories, songs, snacks and a simple craft.  Sponsored by Grassroots.
