Are we normally open on Mondays during the day? No we are not! But for this SPECIAL EVENT we will make an exception! Join us on Monday, May 6, 2019 for 2 presentations from Canadian author Heather Smith. From 11:30-12:30 she will be presenting her junior/teen books, and from 2:15-3:15 she will be presenting her children’s books. This is part of TD’s Children’s Book Week.
Yesterday was National Pay it Forward Day. Small acts of kindness can make such a difference. Imagine if it was multiplied by millions of people all over the world? Perhaps we can strive to make kindness a daily event. What are some library related suggestions? Pick up a bag full of our bargain books and leave a book or two on a bench, in a mailbox, on a table, with a little note to let the finder know it’s a gift. Offer to bring someone to the library for a browse and a visit in our reading area. Compliment a librarian. (How did that get in there?)
