The cabinet has arrived for our future maker space at the library! What currently looks like a pile of boards and screws will be the home of our storage cabinet for toys and crafts that encourage interest in science, engineering, math and technology through play. This awesome addition is sponsored by Grassroots. Side note: Does the library have a book that shows librarians how to put together what seems like 5 million pieces with an Allen key? Let’s hope so.
We are starting to plan our travel and culture space at the library (with hopes of a reveal in the fall)! Do you have a favourite travel book or have you found a particular series helpful? If you have any suggestions or recommendations for this collection please let us know! We hope to cover all bases with travel guides, real-life travel stories and of course, armchair travel. No trips planned? Just spin the globe and start dreaming.
