The “Booker dozen” longlist has been announced, with only one Canadian making the list this year.  This list will be shortened to six on September 3, 2019 and each of these 6 authors will receive £2,500.00.  The winner will be announced on October 14, 2019 and the winning author will be awarded £50,000.00 along with international recognition.

Did July fly by or is it just us?  If you have dropped by the library lately you will notice some reorganization going on.  The Home Grown section is now at the front, the DVD cards are in the middle, and the new large print books are along the back wall.  You will find our Nearly New books for sale at various locations around the library to keep things interesting.
