Do you love books?  Are you looking for a fun way to spend a few book-filled hours every month? We are looking for a few volunteers so this may be the perfect fit! Volunteers make it possible for the library to stay open our usual hours while fulfilling our commitment to a safer workplace.

In keeping with Workplace Safety and Industry Standards we strive to have two people present at all times. Our current need is for a commitment of one evening (6:30-9:00) per month and the occasional Sunday where shifts may vary between the hours of 1:00-4:00.

The jobs that a volunteer will be requested to do will vary from day to day depending on what the library needs, and the skills and interests of the volunteer.  Volunteers will be encouraged to take a coffee break during their shift – the perfect time to browse the shelves!

For more information about this fun opportunity to spend some quality time surrounded by books, please contact us at 204-753-2496, email@pinawapubliclibrary.com or drop by!

Wednesday, August 21, 2019 will be the last day for our summer reading program – don’t forget to join us at the library at 2:00 or 7:00.  The first summer of this program was a hit and we thank everyone that attended, and Grassroots for sponsoring.  We hope this will be the start of a yearly event!
