We are excited to announce a special evening storytime! Join us at the library this Friday, October 21, 2022 at 6:30 for Halloween stories, playtime, a craft and a snack! Don’t forget to dress up if you want to! What a perfect opportunity to show off your costumes! Often when considering what to highlight in the Biblio File I check the calendar for upcoming special days and events. Did you know that October 21st is Reptile Awareness Day? Neither did I. This got me thinking about the Kratts Brothers DVDs. Wild Kratts is a live action and animated children’s show, created by the Kratt brothers, Chris and Martin. The show’s aim is to educate children about species, biology, zoology and ecology, and teach kids small ways to make big impacts. It has ties to the Kratts’ previous shows, Kratt’s Creatures and Zoboomafoo.
If you haven’t heard of this show, it’s time to watch it. It’s so well done and trust me – it’s not just for kids – I have learned something from every show I’ve watched. We have 13 Wild Kratts DVDs at the library – give one a try!
