Summer at the Pinawa Public Library
Hello patrons,
The board and staff of the Pinawa Public Library are happy to announce that we will be returning to our regular summer hours on Thursday July 2nd, and that we are planning a summer program for the children. As can be expected, we have to make a number of adjustments to our normal customer service in order to do so.
In order to eliminate confusion and make our service as efficient as possible we ask that you read this carefully before coming into, phoning, or emailing the library for further information.
Our Summer Hours are:
Monday 6:30 pm- 9:00 pm
Tuesday – Thursday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Friday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Sunday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Pandemic Service Restrictions
- Library entrance will return to the front doors of the Community Centre
- Entrance will be limited to three people at a time and will be on a first come first serve basis – We will no longer be taking appointments
- We recommend that you do not bring children into the library
- Inter-library loan service is limited to within Manitoba libraries, excluding universities
- Computer usage will be by appointment only and limited to one half hour
- Online Reserve and Backdoor Pickup Service will continue to be made available for those not comfortable with coming into the library
Children’s Program
- Children’s program will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons
- Pre-registration is necessary and will be limited to eight children per session
- The program will be held outdoors on the rocks in front of the library whenever weather conditions allow
* please be sure to have your child dressed and prepared for the outdoor elements

Remember to specify if you prefer your child to be in the Tuesday or Wednesday session. We will contact you to confirm your child’s spot.
